How to reverse a leaky gut and stop autoimmune diseases

A lot of people feel lousy, but they have no idea why. They might be in constant pain. Muscle ache, joint pain, skin, nail, and hair problems, weight gain, psychiatric disorders such as depression and psychosis, vagueness, and exhaustion are some of their symptoms. They might have or be developing an autoimmune disease most of the time without even understanding it. Furthermore, an autoimmune condition may develop without causing any symptoms.

Autoimmune disease incidence and prevalence have risen significantly in the last fifty years. Why? In this article, we’ll provide the response, but more importantly, we’ll clarify how to reverse this pattern.

Autoimmune diseases arise as the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues. A total of over 100 autoimmune diseases have been reported. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Pernicious anemia, Crohn’s disease, Addison’s disease, Type I Diabetes, IgA nephropathy, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid and Reactive arthritis, Lupus, Dermatomyositis, Sjögren’s syndrome, Multiple sclerosis, Myasthenia gravis, Grave’s disease, and Celiac disease are only a few instances. A lot of food allergies are due to underlying autoimmune disorders as well.

The explanation for this

Almost all autoimmune diseases, we assume, begin in the gut. Lectins and gluten in cereal grains, lectins and saponins in legumes, lectins and glycoalkaloids in nightshades, lectins in nuts, enzymes in egg white, and lectins and hormones in dairy can harm the gut and/or increase its permeability (and not only when someone is genetically predisposed). This is referred to as a leaky gut. As a result, all kinds of gut molecules can gain unwelcome access to the bloodstream. These molecules can bind to other molecules and imitate the tissues of the human body. Unwanted molecules may also bind to tissue cells. This confuses the immune system, which may mistake the mimicking molecules, mimicked tissue, and tissue with molecules attached as non-self.

The immune system is based on getting rid of something that isn’t self. As a result, the molecules that imitate the self-tissue will be attacked and removed, as well as the mimicked tissue itself. The immune system can attack self-body tissues such as organs, muscles, skin, cartilage, joints, and blood vessels in this way. These attacks will ultimately lead to the onset of autoimmune diseases.

On top of that, we now eat an excessive amount of carbohydrates, sugars, and omega-6 seed oils. These foods are known for their pro-inflammatory properties, so it’s simple to see how they’d aggravate the situation.

Not Adapted

You must recognize that, in the sense of human history, all of the problematic foods listed in this post were only recently introduced. Our genome was never given the opportunity to adapt to them. Despite this, they account for approximately 70% of the calories consumed in the modern western diet. It’s no surprise that autoimmune disorders grow.

How to Reverse the Situation

So, what would you do if you think you have an autoimmune disease or are on the verge of developing one? You must avoid the leakiness in your gut. How are you going to do it? An elimination diet is recommended.

You abstain fully from the following foods for at least one month, but preferably three months:

  • All cereal grains like wheat, rye, barley, corn and rice and derived products like bread and pasta.
  • Legumes like beans, lentils and dry peas, including soy and peanuts and derived products like oils.
  • The nightshades like potatoes, tomatoes, (bell) peppers and eggplant (sweet potatoes are no nightshades).
  • Eggs.
  • Dairy.
  • All plant seed oils except coconut oil and some virgin cold-pressed olive oil.
  • Nuts (they also contain a lot of the proinflammatory omega-6).
  • Processed and canned foods.
  • Starchy foods, sugars, artificial sweeteners, soft drinks, candy, fruit juices.
  • Alcoholic beverages.
  • All additives (E numbers).

The leaky gut will likely heal easily, and you will begin to feel much better. After one to three months, you should carefully and separately reintroduce eggs, nightshades, legumes, and dairy to see how they affect you. If they make you feel worse, get rid of them. In any case, avoid grains and soy for the rest of your life; they (the lectins they contain) end up wreaking havoc on everyone. Also, keep the other foods on the list below to a bare minimum.

Keep an eye out for drugs and supplements

Last but not least, bear in mind that dextrose from grains is commonly used as a filler in drugs and supplements. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, called NSAIDs or NAIDs, are considered to cause leaky gut syndrome.
